My Story
I compose cinematic, retro indie pop songs as a singer-songwriter
and composer, inspired by my own stories and the early 2000s pop culture.
I am a co-founder of the Shanghai International Students Music
Union and has been instrumental in organizing music festivals that celebrate diverse
voices and fostering a vibrant community for emerging young artists.
My work frequently explores themes of romance and tragedy.
I am also a dedicated writer. I write stories and novels that explore themes of
romance, tragedy, the complexities of human emotion, and the cinematic qualities of life. You are welcome to check out my writings on Quotev, which you can find on the "media page".
I was born on May 28, 2004, and I am currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Computer
Music at the Peabody Conservatory. With a background that includes mentorship from
notable artists like Chinese independent musician Deng Bolun and American songwriter
Monica Lionheart, my work is marked by a unique blend of lyrical depth and musical
experimentation.
At the core of my artistry is the belief that words hold immense power. As a writer
first, I emphasize storytelling through music, aiming to transport listeners into
captivating narratives that offer respite and joy. With each project, I strive to create
an experience that invites audiences to relax, enjoy the stories, and embark on a journey
through sound.
